Meet the A Team
Tania founded A Team Staffing in January 2002. With 12 years of human resources experience in the staffing and real estate industries, she was convinced that a staffing firm focused on real estate and quality would become a trusted extension of clients' businesses and an invaluable resource for job seekers. Combining industry knowledge, integrity, respect and just plain good business practices has brought A Team the success she envisioned. Tania leads new business development and along with Brian Lee, interviews candidates and matches them with clients to make the day's quality assignments. She has been a board member of Escrow Associates of San Gabriel Valley and Director of Fundraising since 2004. A golfer and preeminent multi-tasker, Tania can fill a job, recruit a candidate, and change an ad between the 17th green and the 18th tee-box.
Brian joined A Team in August 2003 as a recruiter. He now manages the recruiting team and interviews candidates while serving clients and making successful assignments. Brian compares recruiting to love at first sight. "I often meet someone for the first time and immediately envision him fitting perfectly with a client I know well." He also likes knowing he can change somebody's life for the better, "every single day". After earning a BA in Humanities at Arizona State, Brian worked as a fundraiser and special events coordinator at the Arthritis Foundation. A second degree Black Belt and avid snow boarder, Brian enjoys playing golf and seeking out the best sushi restaurants in LA.
Cathy dela Cruz
Cathy has been a recruiter with A Team since April 2005. Before joining us in the office, Cathy spent 7 months on temporary assignment for us at a client site. She spends her days proactively recruiting, listening to candidates, and visiting client sites to learn their culture and work environment. Cathy, who earned a BA in Economics and French from UCLA, attributes her impressive track record to personal service, urgency and a willingness to put herself in her clients' and candidates' shoes. Cathy doesn't play golf, but she does occasionally stun her colleagues with impromptu trips to Vegas and articulate conversations in Spanish.
Tony joined A Team as a recruiter in January 2006. He has earned real estate appraisal and sales licenses and, like Cathy, worked as an A Team temporary employee before becoming a valued member of our recruiting staff. Tony earned a BA in Psychology and worked more than 3 years in the service-driven hospitality industry before following his interests to the real estate business. Tony appreciates that A Team refuses to reduce people to numbers. "I've been mentored to take the time to get to know a person, their skills and their preferences. It's good to go home knowing you helped put a good person in a good job." Tony avoids golf and other "extreme sports" but rises quickly to the challenge of a poker game.
Art began working for A Team full-time in 2005 after completing a "temporary" consulting assignment that lasted 3 years. With 15 years experience in the real estate industry at the senior management level, he provides A Team with knowledge, skills and leadership that support our business every day and clear the way for us to achieve our goals. Art says, "This is a great business! We have great clients that want us to provide them with great employees with the skills to do a job. We do that, and our goal is to do it every time, and everybody is happy." Yes, Art plays golf, but boating at Havasu and riding his Harley are his favorite assignments.
